Indiana Jones Has Arrived on Disney+!
Our favorite archaeologist’s past adventures are now streaming.
Indy will soon head off on one last adventure. Before he does, you can check out all of his previous escapades right now.
As announced earlier this month, the first four Indiana Jones films — Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull — as well as the fan-favorite The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones TV show are now streaming on Disney+. This is the debut of the Indy movies on the streaming service, and the first official release of Young Indy by Lucasfilm in 15 years.
Set in the 1930s, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, and The Last Crusade were the first stories to introduce viewers to Indiana Jones. They established the series’ penchant for action-packed chases, supernatural mysteries, irreverent humor, and unforgettable characters (including a fair number of alluring villains). Moviegoers waited nearly 20 years before Indy returned in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which brought the character into a rapidly-changing, 1950s world.
The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones was one of Lucasfilm’s first live-action television series, first debuting on ABC in 1992. Winning multiple Emmy Awards, Young Indy was created as an educational adventure that inspired viewers (especially younger ones) to learn about history, science, and the arts. A passion project for executive producer George Lucas, its 22 feature-length episodes were shot in some two-dozen countries around the world. It’s a good time to be an Indy fan. Relive these classic stories and get ready for one more when Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny arrives on June 30. Just don’t forget your jacket and fedora.
